Mentorship: guidance in the role you have now

Mentorship is a formal program with clear learning objectives and a structured development plan. Each participant meets one-on-one with an experienced RSM building official, typically every one or two weeks. The plan is built around their role and the skills they want to develop.

The result is steady professional growth and practical confidence applying the Ontario Building Code. There's no setup fee. A short introduction and a proposal are all it takes to get started.

Internship: a formal path to new qualifications

Under Ontario Building Code Division C, eligible officials may work in an area before they hold the relevant qualification. This is allowed for up to 18 months per eligible class, subject to Internship requirements. RSM runs the program for you so the requirements are met from start to finish.
